winter scenes
Wisconsin is a beautiful state no matter what the season. It would be great to see pics from all over. I'll start.

Here is a shot taken with my trusty motor driven Bell and Howel.
That camera set me back 25 bucks!!!!!! It is not that trusty as after about 20 rolls it started chewing up the sprocket holes in the film. This photo was taken near Phillips, Wi. In the fall of 2001. Since it snowed the day drove to Winter, Wisconsin I call those photos.
Fall in Winter.

I felt as cold as this rock looks while taking pictures down at the lake this morning! brrrrrr! But I wasn't the only one crazy enough to be down there, several others were snapping pics of the awesome ice formations, the fog hovering over the ice, just the stillness of everything. It was like everything was 'frozen in time'.

Here are a couple I took this last Sunday.
The morning was a little chilly in the Kickapoo Valley all week. Sunday morning was no different!
This is a photo of some small stems of grass sticking up through the ice on a pond on our farm.
This is a photo I took of water that was splashing threw a pipe to get out of the pond into the Kickapoo River that same morning. "I love taking photos!"

Here is a very old photo taken in the days when I processed my own black and whites. I am guessing 30 years ago. This a winter scene from the days when you had enough snow to go snowmobiling in the Fox River Valley area. I am thinking this was taken on the west side of Hwy 41 near Gulivers but way before Gulivers existed.

oh how I love black and whites!
Hey, 30 years ago...that's when we had 'real' winters. I don't miss them anymore!

Ha...my younger daughter is on her way for a 4 day 'outdoor' field trip with her French Class to Quebec Canada this weekend! Talk about cold.
She is going to the Winter Festival, dog sledding etc. Her whole suitcase was full of wool socks, hats, thermal under clothes, big sweatshirts, and snowpants! lol

OK...I really like these last two pictures alot. Love the cat tails. Something about cat tails, I can't get past one without taking a picture of it! lol
Looking again at the pics makes me almost feel you captured the sadness of the cat tails. Really great black and whites!
thanks,
pk
