I was curious about this podcasting so I did a google search on it , funny I thought you needed an iPod to podcast but you actauly just need a podcasting host. I found a free one.
My personal rule for the internet has always been
"If I can not get free from the internet, I do not need it."

I thought I would share a very rare recording of stoney rohde. There are not many avaiable but if I get a favorable response, I will podcast some more.
He is not very talented but a decent guy to get to know , when he is around.
I have a live recording from when he was inSayner.

And a very difficult to understand retro-cowboy-psyadelic-blues tune.

feed back on his stuff may encourage the podcasting of more.

I love podcasts!

I've been thinking about doing two different ones:

I love the old radio serials and I think it would be awesome to get a group of friends together to do an old-style sci-fi radio serial and release it as a biweekly podcast.

I've also considered doing one to teach Attic Greek, but I think it would probably have to be a video podcast because it's a written, not a spoken language now, and I don't have video equipment. Well, and my handwriting is just as bad in Greek as it is in English!

So that recording is from 1977? What did you use to convert it to digital audio? It turned out pretty clear

I have not converted much analog to digital lately but when I did I took the output of my analog device and connected it to the input of my sound card. Depending on the volume I sometime put a volume control inline to throttle back the sound voulme from the analog device. I used a simple recoding program, I think you get one in windows and copied realtime. You need to get to the sound control panel to set the recording from input not Microphone. There are a few inexpensive recording programs that allow for effects but I prefer clean recordings. They do take time to monitor and adjust.

The radio idea sounds cool.

The big , really big thing is the video. If you have a large enough harddrive I think all you need is one of those camera you connect to your computer and microsft movie maker(I Think) or something like that the captures your video. Like anything else the more your spend the better quaility you get. That podcast host also does host videocasting.

Don't you wish you would have come up with youtube? I sure do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What's going on with internet radio now. I heard something that it was going to die on the 5th of June, or July of this year. Seems someone was'nt getting the pocket lining that they expected...
I also have some ideas rolling around about an internet radio program...but the person I had in mind as a side kick went and had a stroke, and is now in a nursing home, and unable to talk. 8O :?
