Bringing the past to present (my scans)

A very very long time ago there was a young man who enjoyed photography. He did not have much money but was fortunate enough to aquire some equipment. Some where along the line life and distractions got in the way and any thoughts of photography were set to the side for other more pressing issues. I recently scanned this shot and it stopped to make me think. What were my dreams then and what are they now. Photograpphy may only hold the past but it can guide us on our future.

another scan

This young lady has long since grown into a woman with children of her own. She is my oldest of three daughters. Again the scanner has digitized an old photograph and again I look at how fast life goes by. If I could put time in a bottle.......................................
Enjoy every moment of every day.

another scan 2

I could use this caption many times over for my old photographs.
Another fun shot of my oldest. In those days I was paid the 1st and 15 of the month.. sometimes there were three weeknds inbetween paychecks. While those weeknds seem to drag on, they are all a blurr now.

If I could put time in a bottle.......................................
Enjoy every moment of every day.

You certainly have captured 'time' and made it almost seem as if it is standing still. Having children of my own that range from 11 to almot 30. I know how precious older photos can be.

You did a wonderful job on bringing the best out of these photos.

oh my, you must be a very energenic person.
Is that like raising 2 generations at the same time?
You must be well experienced in raising children.

Yes, my oldest daughter will be 30 this summer! Oh how time flies. I think she is catching up with me in age because most of the time I don't feel 'old'. lol I also have a son that turned 26 on Christmas, a 13 yr old daughter (she will be 14 in June!), and my youngest son will be 12 in June.

The fun part is I also have a grandson that is 11 so he is 6 months younger than my youngest son! lol They are like brothers really.

I also have a grandaughter that will be 2 in April!

They keep be very busy! And the fun part is each one is very different than each other and lead very active lives.

And yes, it's like two generations of kids. (2 times being married). It really works out great since my oldest daughter is a fantastic mom and is like a 'second mom' to my younger kids. Can you imagine 2 moms when you are a teenager! lol My youngest daughter can't get away with anything!

here is another scan from the past.

a typical saturday afternoon nap, awakened by my daughters. I am not sure I was as happy as they were the moment this shot was taken but it does bring a smile to my face now.
