:wink: I am from the city of Kaukauna :!: A lot of people I know say that our city has quite an odor 8O I say they are correct :!: On days when rain is to move in we definitely have to deal with the odor of our local paper mill.
:arrow: Thursday nite is our local racing event, this includes late models, street stocks (this is the class we are involved), figure eights, sizzlin fours, and mini trucks. It sure does make for a long nite at times :evil:
:arrow: We also have our own disc golf course. It is 18 holes and can be a challenge. I scored my first hole in one there Since I have scored many more. I started playing disc golf in 1999 and must say I enjoy it very much. I have traveled all over WI. to play and have met so many people.
8) We have a few tourist attractions, The Grignon Home and the Thousand Islands Enviromental Center to list a few.
:arrow: And on hot summer days we go to the local pool (newly renovated). There is plenty of the nite life around here also!!

I was born and raised in Kaukauna, and I rarely noticed the smell when I lived there. I do now, though it brings back good memories.

I remember heading out to the raceway to see my brother-in-law in stock car races. Also saw Dick Trickle before he was America's winningest driver.

We also have our own disc golf course.

That whole area was just one big woods when I was a kid. I lived right next to the first hole. I must have trekked up and down that creek (pronounced "crick") 1000 times.

Here in Milwaukee, I live in in a neighborhood, Bay View, that reminds me a lot of Kaukauna. Great history, good parks, nice people. The houses are closer together, and we have Lake Michigan, but they are really not that dissimilar.
