Carol, are The Torts residence of WI? Sounds like a sulcata tort. Sulcatas dig huge burrows. If these guys are fed too much and or too much protein they tend to pyramid...get peeks or points. Is that what you ment about point tortoise?
Please dont take my comment as a critizism - just a torty lover.

Hi, I looked at your site and he/she is definatly a Sulcata. Sulcatas native home is Africa. They do live a long time and they get HUGE. lol There is no such tort as a "african point". The tort looks really good...his pyramiding in very Mild if at all. Ive seen pics of deformed torts from improper care ...the pyramiding was like 2 inches high. Very sad.
It makes no difference what name she calls it ...the tort looks great

She is very proud of her tortis...she's got 2.
They are both 5 years old. Both look the same.
She said she got them from Hoffers when they were no bigger then a .50 cent piece.
