Charlie Brown Died

Woke up to find my sweet, special needs bunny has died. He went in his sleep.

He was a sweet bunny. The vet wanted to euthanize him back in 2003 and I would not hear of it. He lived 4 more happy years.

Last week he was out hopping in the yard ~ which is hard for him because he's got torticollis real bad and vertigo.... he had a great time.
Last night he demolished a whole dish of carrots.
Then he crossed over

Carol

pk will become famous soon enough
Sorry to read about your bunny, we just lost a pet last week. It's always difficult to lose a pet. They touch a part of our hearts that will always stay with us.

Here is my special boy. He got an inner ear infection that just did not want to go away. He had bad vertigo from it and lived in a padded laundry basket for almost 6 months because of his aggressive alligator rolls he'd go into.

The vet wanted to put him down after only 10 days of trying. But I had pulled all sorts of information off the internet proving this could take up to 10 months to clear it all up.

Eventually the ear infection did go away but by then such bad torticollis had set in he'd never have his head on straight again.

He was a happy bunny and loved life. He was not ready to be put down. Up until he died in his sleep he was always happy.

Eventually his head did become a bit straighter. But his vertigo never went away. He could never live on wire because his rolls would rip open his face and ears. He lived in a special padded cage and I had him out as much as possible.
