Title: Earth day -- March or April?

So, I was looking up earth day, because my calendar has earth day as being this weekend. I found some sites claiming Earth day is this Sat., Apr 22... and then I found just as many saying it was in March around the Equinox.

We've got a lot of environmental activists on here, so I thought I'd ask -- which is it? Obviously, _every_day _should_ be Earth Day, but which is the officially recognized day?

Earth Day is a good day to get your solar powered chain saw out and cut a tree down.

My calendar say's Earth Day is Wednesday April 22. 2009 that is.
