theBubbler Speed Improvements

We have made some improvements to theBubbler homepage that will increase the speed at which it loads as well as updated the Adopt a Pet and theBubbler Babble side panels to their newer versions.

I noticed the last few days it has been very slow but even though it seems somewhat faster it still seems slow today compared to most sites.

We will be doing another major upgrade of the site in the next few weeks that will hopefully increase the speed of the site. I will also be looking at numerous other performance options to increase the load times of the home page in particular.

I'm sure it depends on many factors including my own computer etc. but for whatever reason, this morning this site seems to be going very quickly. It is really nice to feel like I'm speeding along here rather than sitting in between pages. Thanks for your work on this.

I don't think its "your" computer. For when I am at school the site tends to go a wee bit slow. But I to have noticed it has been getting better(faster=]). My theory to this sudden rapidness is simply the fact that the site may have deleted somethings.

I have "dual boot" windowsXP and UbuntuLinux on my computer, both use FireFox. but when i'm in ubuntu it loads slow, and when i'm in windows it loads faster. I just have to wait for better hardware support for linux, thats all. Unless someone has better knowledge on this subject. Also my video card doesn't work well with ubuntu. I noticed when i changed the visual effects/performance settings on windows xp on my g/f's grandfather's slow computer, web site loading went way faster for him.

I did notice that today I got here no problem...and I"ve been able to stay logged in and move thru the pages just fine.

Good speed from what I did have happening.
