The Kaylee O'Shay book series chronicles the life of a young Irish dancer. Kaylee overcomes many obstacles to pursue her love of Irish dance. The first book of the series,
Kaylee's Choice, introduces Kaylee and her family. While Kaylee's father dreams of her becoming a soccer star, Kaylee's heart is set on Irish dancing. Subsequent books follow Kaylee's progress in dance, along with the joys and struggles all girls face in young adulthood.
The Kaylee O'Shay series is written by Rod Vick, a Mukwonago, Wisconsin author. His daughter's pursuit of Irish dancing inspired Mr. Vick to create a fictional character that young Irish dancers could admire.
