When I was very young , I would lay on the ground day or night and stare into the sky so long that eventuly I tricked myself into thinking I would fall into the sky.
it was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo c o o l ! ! ! ! !
One of the places we lived while I was in school was N. Dakota. The one thing it had to recommend it was the sparseness of human habitation and resulting light pollution. We had a wood deck out back and I would go out back at night and listen to the "Hearts of Space" show on NPR and you could see so many stars. These days I live far enough out of Milwaukee to be able to see lots of stars at night, but even out here there's enough light pollution to mask more than 3/4 of the stars I could see from the porch back then! It's kind of sad to think that most people grow up, live and die without ever having REALLY seen the night sky.
Our friends at NASA have another, more powerful space telescope all set to take the place of Hubble.
Cassandra.
I agree, those are some awesome photographs.

Reason: nostalgia
...Them's got ears, let them hear
Them's got eyes, let them see
Turn your eyes to the lord of the skies
Take this airline plane
It'll take you home again
