For the first time in "Survivor" history, former castaways who were eliminated in competition will have an opportunity to seek redemption and return for a chance to win a million dollar prize as each voted off castaway is sent to "Redemption Island".
This should be a very interesting season with the new additions such as Redemption Island and a new match between Russell and Boston Rob..
I seen that coming last night... I wish they would succeed at getting Boston Rob out of there right away. I don't see Russ hanging on till the end for a third time... he isn't liked enough by the people on his team.
I think Rob and Russ are a setup and they won't let them be voted out right away.. I forget that black guy's name but I didn't care for him and hope he goes soon.
I was thinking the girl who found the immunity idol would get voted out once they knew she had it and didn't pplay it.

One castaway decides to act out a kind gesture which causes the other castaways to take notice and question his loyalty to the tribe; Francesca settles into solitary life on Redemption Island and speculates who will join her next.

I agree Russ & Rob will be around a while & yep it's most likely a set up.
It wouldn't make much sense to let either of them be voted out (unless it's to Redemption Island) as they made such a big deal about them being back..
Hopefully, Phillip's stay on Survivor will be short-lived..

1 thing made no sense to me... why did Rob have Phillip vote for Christina? Was it because he knew she had the Idol & wanted to throw Phillip's vote away or simply because he couldn't reach Matt to touch his shoulder? Did he realize that Phillip wouldn't vote out Matt, so he wanted to waste the vote? I just didn't get it.
I think he was making her nervous to flush out the idol and didn't need Phillip's vote to oust Matt anyway.. personally I think the whole Matt things was a setup.. the powers that be realize Phillip is a water cooler topic so they won't want him voted off right away so Matt got thrown under the bus.. Phillip is not all there if you ask me.

Ahhh that makes sense considering Rob had commented earlier on how Christina better play the Idol this time. Phillip will stay around a while, he is another "coach" - remember him? He irked me to no end also! Phillip can not possibly be normal, there is something pretty major wrong with that psycho.
I read so much about these types of shows being "scripted", I almost lose all faith we can believe anything we see..
If I were the producer, I would keep Rob, Russell, and Phillip around as long as possible for viewer interest. Not to say they may go to Redemption Island, but I think it will be awhile before they get voted off..
Looking forward to the first Redemption Island "battle tonight..

One tribe weighs risk over reward as they contemplate doing the unthinkable and hoping to benefit in the long run; while on Redemption Island, it's do or die as Matt and Francesca face off in the first duel to see who will stay or go on the island.
Sometimes people forget that others may not have seen the show yet, either because they've taped it or whatever reason and so will post either an outright spoiler or inadvertently let the cat out of the bag for those few who haven't seen the show.. I know I've done it tho not intentionally.

I'd be really surprised if Russell loses out to Matt this early in the game.. Russell is one of the top draws and my money is on him.

Agreed... I think if he lost to pretty boy Matt he would be ashamed to show his face lol
I also think it would be a huge mistake for them to get rid of Russell so early.

Why is Matt on Redemption Island? Didn't he get to go back to camp after beating Russ?
Apparently not.. I dunno when they are allowed to go back.. doesn't seem fair he has to beat more than one..
I thought at the end of the battle with Russ, they said Matt gets to go back & Russ you must leave the Island... doesn't seem right that he would have to stay on Redemption Island that long. Strange... I may have to look it up.
