When an unconscious woman is bleeding internally, doctors scramble to assess the problem and get her into surgery; a man needs help for an erection that has lasted four days; a woman arrives in the emergency room with a knife in her chest.
Yeah, that would be since you don't even know the cause at the time. My neighbor has a grandchild that had seizures often. They had to do brain surgery to stop it. I know there was some side effects to the surgery, but I forgot what they were. That will be a lifelong challenge for the kid, too. I don't know if it affected his memory or what it was anymore. It was a sacrifice the parents had to make.
I think my husband must like the ER since he's made so many trips there. Let's see, broken arm, welder's eye, metal shaving in eye (maybe he went to eye specialist for that...twice), bad flu/stomach pain, cut knee, head injury, badly cut finger, and when he was a kid, concussion and tetanus/lockjaw.
Now for the holidays he has covered so far: 4th of July, Halloween, Christmas Day, Thanksgiving and our city festival. He didn't cover Easter yet, I see.
