Wed. 10/13 Food Wars comes to Milwaukee

This Wed. at 9 pm (hope that's the right time) Travel Channel and their Food Wars is in Milwaukee for the big cheeseburger challenge. Who has the best burger in town? AJ Bombers vs. Sobelman's. Sobelman's has been voted best burger in MKE for the last 3 years, but will meet newcomer to MKE, AJ Bombers. I think AJ's has been in business for about 2 years. Twitter has made them the place to be and is the reason this challenge happened to begin with.

I've tried both burgers. I'm a Bomber fan. Love the Bomber burgers and their sweet potato chips. Sobelman's didn't impress me at all.

This show was filmed months ago and only those that were there know the outcome, but I'm pretty sure AJ's wins the cheeseburger face-off. I'm 99% sure, that's my gut feeling anyway.

AJ Bombers has a big event going on tonight. It will be packed. I wish I could go, but too far to go during the week for us. I'm sure I will recognize some Twitter faces when the show airs.

I may try to catch this online.. the time interfered with Hell's Kitchen so didn't watch it.

We actually got to go to AJ Bombers for the show and other goodies. I told you AJB would win. We got free Food Wars t-shirts, free vodka drinks, free burgers samples. It was so fun. My husband had the bar cheering yaaay whenever AJB was on and then when Sobelman's came on he had them boo. It was funny. Some real competition to see. I got to see a few Twitter people I know. Some traveled quite a distance just to be there.

I will give Sobelman's this, they make their own buns and those are really good. I just wasn't impressed by the burger itself. To each their own, I guess. That was a while ago we tried Sobelman's.
