We all watched it last night. My son, being a musician, was quite interested in the Theremin. None of us had ever heard of one before. It's such a neat instrument and for someone to have invented it in the '30s was astonishing. I'm surprised that it wasn't more popular than it was. Maybe it was just too far advanced for it's time?

The episode that was on yesterday was quite interesting. They were investigating the Ringling Theater in Baraboo, Wisconsin to see if it was the first "movie palace" in the US and the oldest one still in use. It turned out that it wasn't since it had to have more than a thousand seats to fit the criteria. However, a movie palace in Chicago was fashioned after the Ringling Theater and that one is the oldest one still being used today.
I remember theathers like this when I was a kid and going to the movies was still a real event.
