Re: The Twilight Saga: New Moon: Have You Seen It?
I haven't seen it yet but do plan to go either this week or after Thanksgiving some time. I didn't want to go to a crowded theater with so much illness going around. I'm thinking of going during the day when kids are still in school so it won't be quite as crowded. I watched the first "Twilight" movie again last night so I could "refresh" my memory of what happened so far.
Re: The Twilight Saga: New Moon: Have You Seen It?
Reviews have been generally unfavorable from what I've seen but I suspect there's a real chasm between the average professional reviewer and the average Twilight fan..
I know we're wanting to see the movie at the theater when we can (even tho I personally didn't care much for the first one)..
Re: The Twilight Saga: New Moon: Have You Seen It?
We went to see this Thanksgiving night.. have to say I enjoyed it alot more than I did the first one (more action).. the ending is a setup for the next movie
Re: The Twilight Saga: New Moon: Have You Seen It?
There must be another topic on this subject that you wrote about the ending since I know I read this and responded. Now I'm confused. lol
Anyways, we did see the movie over the weekend and thought it was fantastic. Next one I heard is coming out in June! Already getting anxious to watch it.
Re: The Twilight Saga: New Moon: Have You Seen It?
I think I mentioned it in Wisconsin Chat..
Personally, I liked the werewolves better than the vampires.. mainly because Edward was a bit too emo for my tastes.. besides, I have a softspot for Jacob because he is the "underdog", get it?
Kristen Stewart's acting isn't that great IMO either..

If I had to pick which guy I think it would be a difficult but I think Jacob would have to win. He seems to have a real tender heart when he isn't the werewolf and as much as Edward loves Bella I find him to controlling. And besides I would never give up my soul like Bella would have to do to be with Edward long term.
Re: The Twilight Saga: New Moon: Have You Seen It?
I saw "New Moon" last night at the theater. It wasn't at all what I expected and I found it to be kind of boring and sadly, I almost couldn't wait for it to be over with. I really enjoyed the first movie and even bought the DVD and have watched it several times. But this one just didn't measure up to the first movie in my opinion.

I really enjoyed the New Moon movie but it could be that I was with a teen daughter that is sooo totally into this whole series and love both Edward and Jacob. lol
I will say if I never read the book, never saw the first movie and never heard anything about the hype on this movie, in other words went in with a clear mind on it all, I would then have to say it could be boring, at least the first half where it kinda drags a bit. IMO
But it can't be boring when you are having fun watching it through a teens eyes. .. and listening to her afterwards. lol

Not just teen girls.. Not naming names ("cough" Misty, for one) but I have to listen to several sub-30's who drool over the Edward Cullen character..
Edward is to scrawny for my taste. lol Now if I was much younger I would have to say that Jacob is pretty buff looking. lol I did not say that though, especially at my age. lol But you would have to be dead to not notice what he looks like when the shirt came off. (fanning myself) lol lol

That's the guy all the girls around going nuts over?? Doesn't do a thing for me and I don't think he would even if I was younger. I don't find him that attractive. Looks more like a nerd to me.
I don't think the Jacob character is all that nice looking (particularly in the beginning with the long hair).. but I do think there is more chemistry between Jacob and Bella in their scenes.

Actually I didn't think so either at first with the longer hair. .. but as his character went along I think he became much better looking. I think it was how he looked at Bella and of course when he took his shirt off and then Bella told him he was beautiful looking. Easy to get caught up in the mood there. lol
Don't get me wrong Edward is great too...oh..to have such a problem of two guys like that in love with you. .. only in the movies. lol
Re: The Twilight Saga: New Moon: Have You Seen It?
I happen to like guys with long hair as long as it's well kept and not a stringy mess or surrounding a bald spot. It's the super short haircuts and shaved heads I don't like. Has to be at least long enough to comb.
This convo went from did you like the movie to how good does Jacob(?) look without a shirt and the length of hair. LOL

Back in the '70's I went out with a guy that had the most beautiful black wavy hair that was way down his back and it smelled soooo good. I was always envious of how great his hair was. lol
It is funny how this thread started...did you watch the movie to how good the guys looked in it..but hey, isn't that what alot of this movie is about? lol
