I missed the episodes of the new The Prisoner miniseries last night (even missed The Amazing Race!), but they're repeating on AMC tonight.. are you watching?
I watched several of the episodes last night and finally switched the channel. It was too hard to follow what was going on because of the way they made it. They would show something and then go backwards and show what happened before and kept skipping all around until I was lost as to what was really going on. If that's what they wanted us to feel, then they achieved it in my case. I see the rest of it is on tonight but I don't know if I will watch or not. I am curious as to what the holes in the ground mean and the significance of the towers in the distant.
When I finally do sit down to watch t.v. I want to be entertained and not have to 'work' at it. If it skips all over and hard to follow I just fall asleep, get bored or turn the channel. To many other choices to watch.
I assume this is a remake of an old english show by the same name. It was strange but I enjoyed it. From what I can recall the show started with one name and then became the prisioner, but then maybe it was the same actor but a different show. I do remeber a charter by the name of Mrs Peel.
But you know how it goes "memory is the second thing you lose"
I dislike serial tv shows because I hate to commit my time to them. My life changes too much to a same time , same channel routine.
soooooooo if anyone is watching this serial , please post a review.
Thank You

You're confusing two shows: the original The Prisoner and The Avengers (with "John Steed" and "Mrs. Peel")..
The Short answer is "Yes".

I did watch the final episodes of the Prisoner last night. I was somehow drawn into the mystery of it all. I'm still not positive as to what it was all about but this is my review of the "Prisoner".
The "Village" was not a real place but an imaginary place in the mind of the woman who was laying in bed and "dreaming" (the wife of #2). The old guy known as #2 had plans all along to have #6 take his place in the "Village" so he could go back to a normal life in the real world. That's why he kept saying that #6 shouldn't be harmed. He also planned to have the girl doctor, #313, I think was her number, become the "dreamer" so she could take the place of #2's wife and she could go back to reality and be with her husband, #2 which is what happened right at the end of the show.
Anyhow, it made you have to use your mind and think a lot about what was going on. If that's what the writers wanted us to have to do, then they surely succeeded.
