Don't you hate it when you favorite TV show gets cancelled? What were your favorite TV shows that you wish were still on (with new episodes, reruns don't count )?
Are there any old shows you wish they'd update and bring back?
How about shows like MASH or Cheers? Did you cry when Seinfeld or Friends went off the air? (Ya Big Baby!)
I miss shows like Sliders, Firefly, and Lost in Space..
I wish they'd do an updated version of Lost in Space. (Actually there was a pilot for a new Lost in Space series a few years back and it sucked..)
Used to love Family Ties and Roseanne.. I miss Alex P. Keaton!
We use to sit and watch PAX TV channel all the time before they changed to another name. They use to have so many great shows that we realized we hardly watched any other channels in the evening. This was quite a few years back when the kids were much younger but I bet if they still had the shows on we would still be watching them.
DOC with Billy Rae Cyrus
Miracle Pets
Touch By An Angel
Sue Thomas FBI
It's a Miracle
Ponderosa (spin off from the old Bonanza Western)
One I can't remember the name but the main guy's name was Dexter. He investigated mysterious and paranormal events. Great show.
I also miss shows such as:
Wonder Years
Growing Pains
Will and Grace
and yes, Roseanne. But I do catch that show early in the a.m like 4:00 a.m sometimes when I'm up.
And of course I wonder how the characters would be now if Ryans Hope stayed on the air? lol
And the t.v. show I will truly miss the most after it ends this season will be ER. That will be a sad day this Spring when the last show airs. I have watched that show for many years.
I did not cry, but i was not happy when Seinfeld, Will & Grace, Rosanne or Friends ended. I watch them all on reruns whenever i happen to come accross them, but new episodes would be so much better. The 'Joey' spinoff of Friends was dumb & i'm sure that was cancelled soon after it came out.
When i was much much younger i watched Knots Landing with my mom & i do believe we both cried when that ended & Mac died, how rude! Dallas was another one i hated to see go.
90210, I was a teen when that was out & i hated that it ended! I couldn't bring myself to watch the remake last year (Is that still on or was it a bust?), i heard & read that it sucked.
I also miss some that i think were reruns when i watched them, as a child... I dream of genie, Bewitched, Eddies father, Mr. Ed.
I use to watch (and was not happy to see them go) One day at a time, Webster, Good times, Charles in charge, Happy days, Joanie loves chachie, Cheers, The Cosby show, Diffrent strokes, The facts of Life, Family ties, Silver Spoons, The Golden girls, Who's the Boss, Alf, Benson, Cosby show, Different world, Designing women, Alice (mels diner), Mamas family, Carol bernett show, Newhart, Night court, Too close for comfort, threes company & it's spinoff Three's a crowd...
wow i could still name so many more lol
ALL shows i'd prefer my kids to watch, over most of what's offered now.

I totally had to watch 90210 every week also. It was just wrong that it went off the air. I also could not bring myself to watch the remake. Just didn't seem right they were trying to put this together again. I did hear it wasn't very good and I can't say if it is still on or not. Anyone know this?
Another one back then I watched faithfully was Dyansty.

My mom watched Dyansty, Although i watched Knots landing & Dallas with her, i never did get into Dyansty, for some reason.
I went to their website & it shows that it will return on March 31st, maybe those who didn't watch the real one are finding this one to be good? not sure.
I would definitely like to have seen "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" show continue and also "Third Rock From the Sun" which were two of my favorites. More recently, a show I really liked called "The Riches" was canceled after only two seasons.
I never really watched "Will and Grace" when it was on originally, but have enjoyed watching the reruns now and wonder why I didn't watch it to begin with.
Didn't we just have a thread on TV shows? I dunno. I watched Dynasty, Melrose Place, Dallas, Dawson's Creek, Mash, Three's Company, Good Times, Laverne & Shirley, Freaks & Geeks, and I watched most of 90210, but stopped watching it after a while. I think something else must have been on at the same time that I watched. I never missed an episode of Melrose or Dynasty or Freaks & Geeks. I can't say that about most shows, since I always seemed to miss a couple.

Oh yeah Melrose Place! I had forgot about that one... I never missed an episode either.
I miss Taxi, Cheers, Third Rock, luckily some of the older westerns are on the upper Dish channels, Bonanza, The Rifleman(what a surprize, he liked those!) The Virginian(dang he is old.) What I do notice is some, not all, just some of the shows are starting to emulate the older programs & movies. Some of the new reality shows are a bit much for me, but I like Survivor. (go figure.)
Found myself (and bestfriend) watching reruns late last night (early morning) and laughed my butt off, we watched bosom buddies, Mary Tyler Moore show & wkrp in Cincinnati... maybe it wasn't so much the shows as the being over tired & restless, but we layed on my bed & watched/laughed for a few hours.
I loved Bosom Buddies.. always thought Peter Scolari would go on to be a big star and it was Tom Hanks that went on to stardom!
Who was your favorite on WKRP? What was your favorite episode? (I watch the reruns here on occasion)

Tim Reid who played Venus Flytrap would be my favorite... The episode i remember liking most is one where Les had to share his weather reporting duties with Bailey & was so mad about it that he decided that he needed a door on his little imaginary office (desk space) and freaked out when everyone would come in without knocking on his imaginary door lol he was so angry on that episode that it was funny to me... that poor guy couldn't win on that show!
The first aired episode of Herman's Head, a TV series that ran 3 seasons. Starring (among others) William Ragsdale, Hank Azaria, Yeardley Smith, Ken Hudson Campbell, and Jason Bernard.
The show was about Herman and the inner voices in his head who controlled his decisions. There was 4 actors that played his different emotions. The show was funny because whenever Herman was involved in a situation, the scene would switch to his voices arguing about what to decide. This made for some hilarious comments, especially his lust character who was all for the booze and women. It's kind of the same concept as the devil and angel that you see drawn in cartoons, only in this show there was 4 voices instead of 2. We can certainly relate to our inner voices helping us make our decisions.
The show was on Fox when it was a new network and most people were just beginning to discover that channel.
