I had hoped Anoop would get in as well...I thought he sang nicely, but I guess more people voted for Michael Sarver.
Michael Sarver made it because he is a blue collar worker that has a family, and lives from paycheck to paycheck like most of us. He is likable and just your average everyday nice guy. But can he sing? Yes, he does sing pretty good but Anoop has a much broader range and smoother voice and better control over his voice that if this was strictly a contest of actual 'singing' Anoop would be in right now and not Michael. To bad.
Maybe Anoop will get in on the wild card. I just shutter to think that Tatiana may still have a chance to come back in.
But all and all Danny made it and that's the only thing that matters really. lol

I liked when the 2 from last year came back on to sing together. Carly wasn't my favorite but really liked Michael's voice last year so it was great to hear him again. It would be great if they brought back the 2 David's for a song together.

I would also like to see the two David's sing a duet together. I'm looking forwards to watching Idol tonight...I can't wait to hear the second group sing!
Anyone know if the Osmond guy make it into the top 36? I know he made it to Hollywood, but I didn't hear if he got sent home or if he made it through.
Did anyone watch the show tonight? Who do you think will be chosen as the top three on Thursday night? If people vote according to singing ability and not likability, I predict it will be Allison Iraheta, Megan Joy Corkrey and Adam Lambert. I thought that Nick Mitchell aka Norman Normal was funny but he shouldn't continue on because of that. I didn't call in to vote this time because I'm still a Danny Gokey fan and I want him to win the final.
I have to say that for the first time I found AI kinda boring tonight. Actually I fell asleep before it ended I think.

I am not sure I like the way they are doing it this year with one guy, one woman, and then the next top one staying. What if only the guys were good or women were good and then one of the best has to go home. Just thinking out loud here but wish they would go back to the way they did it last year, not that I really remember exactly how that was either but I'm sure it wasn't like this.

I really like Danny and I think he was being set up to win but I just read that he may be lucky if he gets to stay very long. He is getting a lot of bad emails and the 'USA is getting very upset with him', I read. Guess people are upset thinking he is using his wife that died story to gain points with the viewers and it's back firing. I did not see it but I guess he posed for a picture looking up in the sky as if he was looking up to see his wife, and always talking to reporters about his sadness and how AI is helping him cope etc.
People are finding it very disturbing. His recent comment was that AI set him up as this grieving person thinking it would help but he even though his wife did pass on only 7 months ago and very much on his mind, he wants everyone to see him as a good singer and someone that loves to sing.
Too bad he is getting bad publicity since he really does have a great voice and I hope he goes far.

I have it on dvr but have not watched yet... I like Danny, but not so sure it's really his singing so much as his story that i am feeling (though the singing is great). The man has been through a world of hurt the past couple months & has done well in dealing with it all, for that i give him all the credit in the world, not sure he is the best singer there, but he is good.
Norman needs to go! He is the next sanjaya train wreck waiting to happen with the mock sites... he needs to go before that happens.

I don't think he deserves to be treated badly for it... though i agree that the show is highlighting the fact a bit too much, rather than giving him a fair chance to win on his own merit.

This is the first time I will say that I almost am bored with AI because of the way they are doing this. They are losing some really potential singers because of this rule. The men were totally stronger this year but this new rule is putting others in front of some that should be there.

On the tv guide channel they said 2 weeks before his audition is when she passed away, but all over online i read 4 weeks before his first audition.

Danny is also my other fav, I actually like him because of his voice and style. The 1st time I heard him sing, I missed the part about his wife (bathroom break) so I was able to judge him w/o sympathy.
I feel asleep again last night, woke up when red-haired 16 year old belted out the Heart song. Fell back asleep. Never saw Nrman, thank goodness, he needs to go get a job on broadway.

I hope AI gets the hint that this way is just wrong. And loose the 4th judge to. Have no idea why they thought that was a good idea. Maybe it is their way to push Paula out but I think I would rather listen to Paula's stumbling around for words then Kara acting like she knows everything and forever bossing Simon. She just doesn't make a good fit.
