Hello there!! To anyone that's listening in the Monroe area.

I live on the Isle of Wight (southern UK) and looks like I may well be moving to Monroe towards the end of this year.

Anyone tell me what it's like to live there? Or any good web sites on the place?

Wisconsin is a great place to live. Great people, beautiful land, smart leaders.

I suggest taking a day trip sometime (assuming you do move here) about 2.5 hours northwest of Monroe to Viroqua, WI. There you can find, among other cool things, an old-world style public market, not unlike those found in the UK. Local artisans, amazing food, frequent special events, concerts, plays, etc. Web site: www.MainStStation.net. Lots of good links on this site too.

Yep, the more I look on the web and hear from my friend in monroe, the more I'm setting my mind on coming.

And a marketplace? That's where I've been working on and off for the last ten years!! :P It will feel just like home to me! lol
