Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Sports Show

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Sports Show ranks among North America's premier sports shows. When spring in Wisconsin hits, outdoor fanatics, families and friends will be part of the large crowds that will head to the annual Journal Sentinel Sports Show. Nearly 150,000 people attend the event at the Expo Center at Wisconsin State Fair Park over the 10-day period.

Make sure to stop by the Discover Wisconsin booth on the main entrance hall and meet DW Host Stephanie Klett. While there, pick up great vacation planning information and register to for a chance to win one of many great Drive-to Destination prizes be given away daily at the show!

Arthritis Foundation 9th Annual International Wine Tasting

Tantalize your palate with wines from around the world at the Arthritis Foundation 9th Annual International Wine Tasting. Not only will you be able to experience fine wines from the major wine producing countries, you can also savor hors d’ oeuvres, decadent desserts, bid on exquisite silent auction items and take part in an exciting raffle. New to the event this year is gourmet candy tasting.

Once again we will be offering, to a limited number of attendees. Attendance fee charged.

The Arthritis Foundation, Wisconsin Chapter, is the primary source of help and hope for the 1.1 million children and adults in Wisconsin living with the daily pain of arthritis. Funds raised from the International Wine Tasting will help underwrite the cost of valuable research, programs and services to help alleviate and someday eliminate the pain of arthritis.

The nice thing about Milwaukee is there is a fest just about every weekend of some kind or another in the summer. If not Summerfest and State Fair there is usually a church fest near by.

Some of the more famous fests include.

Summerfest - a rock and roll beer extravaganza
Harley Fest - Celebrating the Legend of Harley Davidson which orginated in Milwaukee
State Fair - A country themed amusement park, music fest.

Then we also have a whole slew of cultural fests like

Italian Fest... Great Firework Display

Sorry, but I don't remember the names of all the other ones.

St Martin's Day Fair- a 7mile long flea market.
