Franklin Wisconsin Declares War Against Photographers
Interesting article I picked up on via
Jeffrey High (mvcheech) on Twitter (got to love his smiling cow avatar).
A local Milwaukee meteorologist stopped with family to take pictures of municipal buildings in Franklin and the Chief of Police was suspicious.
The comments in the blog reflect outrage.
In fairness to the Chief, we're all a bit more suspicious in a post 9/11 world. A friendly, "How are you," and "What are you up to...?," could go a long way toward keeping a non-issue just that, a non-issue - while being diligent about checking every potential threat.
That sounds over-the-top, seeing a person with a camera as a 'potential threat'. Nevertheless, that's the world we live in. Who would have thought ten years ago that airplane passengers were a potential threat beyond sky-jacking?
