Milwaukee Baby Dies After Being Left In Daycare Van

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating the death of a 4-month-old boy found in a day care van.

In a news release, police spokeswoman Anne E. Schwartz said the child may have been left in the van for as long as five hours.

The infant was discovered at about 2:30 p.m. Thursday. The van belongs to Bumble Bee Day Care Center in Milwaukee.

I have some daycare horror stories as well, from when my babies were little.

I can not imagine losing a child in any way, but due to something so careless from someone you obviously trusted?? That has got to be the hardest thing ever. You have to beat yourself up before realizing you did nothing wrong, they are obviously licensed... who are you to trust these days? just crazy!

I couldn't imagine losing a child, my heart goes out to this little ones loved ones

If you look at the update, a former employee broke the arms of 2 babies. They fired that person. It's not looking good for the daycare center.

How do you forget a child in a van? You would think they would notice it sooner. Poor family having to go through that heartache.

She is having both daycare centers shut down, I have to wonder if it will end up being that she doesn't use licensed help or is the owner also to blame... Of course she will pay a high price, losing her businesses during an economical hardship & all, I cant help but wonder, were these people she hired actually qualified to be in charge of these children?

Now days it doesn't take much to get a license to provide daycare, which is scary in itself... maybe that's what needs to be investigated next.
