Oh how sad.
I certainly hope this little baby doesn't grow up hearing that she was dumped on a trunk in a diaper bag by her birth mom. I will never understand why a young mom doesn't go to a hospital and leave her child there. Doesn't the law allow a mom to do this? Or am I wrong, or maybe just some states allow this without the mom being charged for abandonment.
Most of the time if the Mom is really young they do this out of being scared of what their own Moms will do to them if it is found out that they had a baby. That's sad that a teen can't feel they can turn to their Mom for support. Many times the Mom (soon to be Grandma) really can be the young girls rock in a situation like this if the teen just opens up. If they are so scared to tell the Mother then go to a school counselor and tell them and let them tell the Mother and work as a go between. Something can be done to not only help the teen, soon to be Mom, but to also help the baby involved too.
Now this teen is facing felony charges. I think I would rather face the wrath of my parent(s) than face a Judge on felony charges.
