Lecture. Darryl Jensen, the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design. As graphic artists, Rembrandt and Whistler use their prints as a way to reveal light and the emotional states of their subjects. They are historically regarded as major innovators in the processes of etching and aquatint. From line etch to dry point and spit-bite to aquatint techniques, Jensen will point out the differences between them and why Rembrandt and Whistler are still so highly revered as artist/printmakers.
