The Harmony of the Spheres: Intersections of Science, Nature

Lecture by Keith Carpenter composer and UWM faculty.
Performance by Carl Stornilio percussionist and UWM faculty in conjunction with exhibit Celestial Images.
Lecture explores how composers and other musical thinkers (philosophers and theorists mostly) have sought inspiration and models from both scientific and supernatural aspects of the heavens.
In addition to the lecture, Carl Storniolo will perform a solo percussion piece Tierkries and a world premiere of a piece composed by Keith Carpenter.
