One Fort Hood soldier, from Wisconsin, tells his family he's lucky to be alive after being face-to-face with the suspected shooter during Thursday's massacre.
"He said, 'I can't believe I wasn't shot in the head.' You know, because he's looking right at the guy from close range and he just felt very fortunate about that," says Dave Moxon, father of Fort Hood soldier.

Wounded Wisconsin soldier released from Texas hospital

Army Pfc. Amber Bahr, who was injured in the Fort Hood, Texas, shootings, was released from the hospital last night, a family spokeswoman said Saturday.
Bahr was shot in the back by Army psychiatrist Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan.
Hasan opened fire on soldiers at Fort Hood on Thursday, killing 13 and injuring 43.

Wisconsin mourns Fort Hood victims, flags lowered all week

Two Wisconsin soldiers died in the November 5th mass shootings at Fort Hood in Texas, and six were wounded. In response, Gov. Jim Doyle ordered that state flags be lowered to half-staff through November 11th, out of respect and as a sign of mourning.
