Does anyone else raft this set of rapids. I am rafting the section before this set of rapids in May and will try to visit this area in July if the water is a a nice level.
I remember doing that a (large) number of years ago.
Lessons learned:
Paddles will break if you get them caught between rocks and are not careful in removing them. When broken they are quite useless.
When your canoe gets more that 4-6" of water in it it is best to stop to empty it out as it is very hard to move.
Try not to think of the movie "Deliverance".

I don't think I've been canoeing where we haven't capsized at least once.. and if you see others getting out and carrying their canoe past a bend in the river, it seems like a good idea to follow suit.
