I've had a number of animals as my companions during my life. A lot of my rabbits have actually come from shelters. Please go check out this option. Most shelter's will have the animal already fixed and they'll give you a form for a free vet check. I've learned a lot of "them" are craving companionship and love. Doesn't matter if you come to look at the cats, dogs, rabbits etc they all are homeless; and most are soooooooo friendly.
