I am also an "older" web geek, creative fanatic and animal lover. Your Spot sounds an awful lot like my Stinky Moo. I don't know how she got her name, it just developed. She is ten yr old grey tiger and thinks she is a canine because she was raised with two canine sisters. One of the best "people" I know. She even retieves paper balls....go figure!
