Hello, my name is Cristine Crum and I own stores in the Winter street depot In Superior and I am also the advertising manager of a newly formed group called “100 years & Going Strong”. What this group is about is I guess you could say the preservation of our local History. This year is the Winter Street depot's 100 Birthday, as well as the Elk's club located on Belknap. The Winter Street depot, and 100 and Going strong, is planning a Birthday Celebration on the weekend of September 26.Coincidently this is also the birthday of the ford model T, (September 27th 1908 is when the very first Model T actually came off the line). What we have planned so far, and are still working on is: The winter Street depot's 3rd annual Harvest festival is planned for that Saturday, with food vendors,entertainment,flea marketers and a car show. The Highlight of the care show will be the Model T club, and there cars which they will probably have a tour from the windmill on 13 and then back to the depot, I do not have the full information on this yet. On Friday the 26th I am working on having a dinner and special presentation by Pat Dorin on the train industry in the 1900's. Pat Dorin is a Writer and major Train Buff. We are also working with one of the local churches that is turning 100 within this year or next, who would have the Superior singers, entertaining sometime on that weekend also. Also the Historical society is working on either a 1900's fashion show or a Vaudeville show for that weekend, maybe on Sunday, I am not sure as of yet what exactly they are planning. What we are hoping to do is pull enough things together to possibly pull a whole week of events for this Birthday celebration. Also we are looking for people who turn 100 this year,organizations,businesses,etc. What the 100 and Going strong is looking at doing is making this event an annual Twin ports event. Why I am contacting you is we would like to have you as either a sponsor of this event, or even provide an event of your own to be included in this Birthday celebration.
