Great mushrrom photo! Makes me think of Springtime and the braised pork with wild mushroom & morell recipe I like to make. Hope you're enjoying the summer... they don't last very long around here.

I see you enjoy mushrooms! A couple years ago we came across some Morells in our yard near where a tree had been cut down the previous year. I guess they liked the saw dust. We had to research first, to make sure they were the edible variety and we got lucky. YUMM! They were fabulous.

Have you posted any great new recipes lately? I'm going to add my 3 favorite soups: Hot N' Sour soup and Miso soup and Pozole soup soon.

I actually made some split pea soup the other day as well. In fact, I was soaking the peas when I read your visit...Must be some sort of theBubbler cosmic thing, between cooks...or kooks

How are you today? I was preparing some split pea soup and thought about all the great recipes you have posted and then I realized... I just happen to have some pumpernickel croutons on hand : )

My recipe is very similar to yours the only difference is I add some Thyme, chicken broth and a little bit of good ale.
