The new bridge in LaCrosse is a great contrast between old and new.

Myrick Park/Kids Coulee
Coming from MT and moving to LaCrosse, we found the greatest FREE animal loving park ever. There are animals to see, rides to play on and snacks.
You can rollerblade, play in the kiddie pool, walk thru and see the critters, swing do whatever....roll down a hill. Picnic with your family.
There is a wonderful kids play area built all on donation and the bottom has old tires for flooring that are soft and friendly to young and OLD footsies.
This place is a must see if you have children of all ages and if you want a nice clean friendly park. Located on LaCrosse Street right across from UWL.
Also, in the back is a nice dog park and wildlife sanctuary where you can walk the trails, ride the trails or blade!
Great place!!

Refreshing this topic for all those new members in this county.
We want to hear what your county has to offer.
This is also a great way to find new places to visit for those who enjoy one to two day getaways.

Kids Coulee
For people with kids, Kids Coulee down in Myrick Park is awesome. It has a huge play structure that's almost like a castle for the kids to run around in. It can be a bit scary for the parents, though, because it's easy to lose sight of your kids. One thing I wish they had done is make it so there's only one entrance/exit so you can keep an eye on that if you lose track of your child. The way it's set up, there's far too many places to exit without you knowing.
