I hope people don't mind me posting this on both sites... I figure this way both sites get a post and I got more potential people looking at it.

All this rain is unreal. This is such a strange August. While I'm thankful that we've been spared any of the serious problems from the rain that so many are facing, being stuck inside all the time is no fun. It really hits home that the nice weather is nearly gone and what am I going to do with this very active toddler all Winter long? Yikes! So I'm looking for suggestions for indoor activities. Here's what we already do:
1) Children's Museum - This is a great place to spend a morning but it's quite a drive from Holmen so we don't go more than once a week.
2) Chuck E Cheese - This place is usually pretty empty in the mornings and is fun for a toddler. It doesn't cost a ton because he's happy playing with a lot of the games with no money in them. The older he gets, though, the more he realizes that putting coins in makes it do more.
3) McDonalds - The playplace is great for him to burn off some of that endless energy. But not so good for me because I'm rarely behaved enough to just get a salad.
4) Toys R Us - They've got that wonderful climbing structure but I feel weird about going there too much when I'm not buying anything. Plus, they've taken out most of the toys they used to have at the bottom so it's not as much fun.
5) Library - There's a small play area for kids, but that's quite a long drive just for that, so we don't go much.
So that's the options I know of. I'd like to find more to do to keep things interesting. Any other suggestions?
