The Twig Project is an all breed dog rescue based in Madison, Wisconsin. We serve the southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois areas.We work closely with local and regional shelters and animal control facilities to provide second chances to dogs who have run out of options and are facing euthanasia. Being an all breed rescue, any dog is welcome, and we never discriminate based on breed, age, physical appearance or existing medical issues.
Romes Wildlife Haven Romes’ Wildlife Haven is honored to be one of the Twig Projects foster homes for dogs awaiting adoption. Currently I have a little terrier mix in my care waiting to find his new family.

The Twig Project has joined forces with Rome's Wildlife Haven, located in Jefferson County, WI to bring you the ARK project (ARK stands for Acts of Random Kindness). We believe, very strongly, in preserving our natural world, and it's inhabitants! This marks the first year that we have been involved with wildlife rehabilitation, and below, you will find some pictures, stories, and information, that will hopefully allow you to see a side of wildlife that we have been privileged enough to experience first hand. The ultimate goal of the ARK project is to open a full service rehabilitation and education center, along with a sanctuary for non-releaseable wildlife.
