Trying to hit the ground running

Hi! Two years ago, we thought my husband's job was taking us to Milwaukee, then it didn't happen last minute! Well, here we are again, except now it's Sturgeon Bay. Currently we live in Port Townsend, WA. So we're looking for affordable, (cheap), pasture safe for two mares, while we find a place to rent/buy. Our ETA is late June to early July. All leads in Door county are greatly appreciated! We know there are horses there, we're just having a hard time finding their people. Our daughter made D3 in Pony club two years ago, then when we thought we were moving, and we didn't re-up, so it's been awhile. I look forward to hearing what awaits in the horse world over there. I think your query re. pasture boarding in the Sturgeon Bay area might get more of a response if you copied&pasted the above post in the "Welcome Center!" and in the "General Wisconsin Conversation" sections of this forum; maybe title it,
"Sturgeon Bay area - need pasture boarding - 2 mares"

Another suggestion might be to prowl through the Sturgeon Bay Chamber of Commerce web site for equine veterinarians/ stables/ farriers/ tack shops/ feed stores/ whatever/ who might be able to give you locally pertinent information.
