Looking for a Horsey 4-H Club or Pony Club in the Onalaska/Holmen/West Salem areas

Hi! My 10 yr. old daughter is horse crazy...as most are. She's taken some lessons, but is definitely still a beginner. I'd like her to get a lot more experience in the saddle so she is a very knowledgeable & safe rider. She's done a week long horse camp 1 summer & would have lived in the barn while @ Sugar Creek Bible Camp another if she could have! She started english but seems to prefer western. I think she'd really LOVE to show at the local fair & just be around other horse crazy kids. I am in the process of finding her a small horse/large pony of her own. If anyone in our area can get me pointed in the right direction of how to get her started in an organization, I'd really appreciate it!!

Both 4-H and Girl Scouts have horse camps. 4-H will help her to learn how to show her horse at the county fair and gt her in touch with other horse loving kids her own age. Call your county extension office at the court house and they should be able to steer you to the right group.

My kids and now my granddaughter participated this way and had a blast!

I'm in the Top Hats and Tails Pony Club, based out of La Crosse, but we ride usually in Viroqua area. I've been in it for about 8 years and we have horses your daughter can ride if you want. We have a 12 year old, a 10 year old, and a 9 year old that your daughter would get a long with great. We also have a high schooler, and three of us that are in college. Also, at Three Witches there are 4day horse riding camps and lessons available if you are interested.
