Hi everyone,
Spring is upon us and I ran upon this article with some helpful information:
http://www.thoroughbredtimes.com/hor...d-suckers.aspx
I had heard that worming with Ivermectin will kill ticks, but did not know if it was true. The last part of the article states:
"Another way to reduce tick problems is to deworm with ivermectin every six weeks during spring and summer. This drug paralyzes any blood-sucking parasites and they soon die, including any tick that is attached to the horse at that time."
I have also heard that garlic supplements work. One person recommended Springtime Bug Off Garlic and had ordered it off the internet.
Hope this helps!
