There's been a phrase around the free, open-source software community for a long time, "Think free, as in free speech, not free beer."

Now, there is a Free Beer!

This is a fascinating article about beer that isn't free - but the recipe for it is! The hitch is, if you adapt the recipe and improvise from it, you are required to share your the recipe for your new adaptation - much like the model for open source software.

The author is Lawrence Lessig (Lessig.org), a favorite of mine.
