I've had a few welcome comments posted on my member page that I appreciate but I keep missing them. Is there an email notification I can set up for when someone leaves a comment? Thanks for the welcomes everyone, really enjoying the site!
The only thing I can find is when you go to your 'page' go to the left side to your control panel and click on EDIT OPTIONS. Scroll down to MESSAGING AND NOTIFICATION, click the box The forum can send a message to your email address to inform you when someone sends you a private message.
Receive Email Notification of New Private Messages. I know this is not exactly what you are asking about but this is the only notifcation section I could find. Maybe you can find something if you look around here a bit more.
suscribe to the thread. you'll be notified of any postings to that thread. find the thread subscription area on your user cp, under the 'help' tab at the top of each page of the theBubbler.

Get to your user cp, on the leftish...sort of middle, you'll see "Your Control Panel" with various sub categories, such as "Your Profile, Networking, "Settings & Options..." etc, etc. Under "Settings & Options", find "Edit Options". About 1/4 of the way down the page, you'll find "Default Thread Subscription Mode". Find the drop-down menu, and select "Instant Email Notification".
That should get the job done. Don't forget to select the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the page.

If you select Instant Email Notification, won't that notify you every time someone posts on a thread you wrote? That's the way I interpreted it anyhow. Down below, there is a box to click on to enable Visitor Messages but I don't see where you can be notified when someone posts a visitor message to you. I do get notified when someone sends me an Instant Message though. Strange.

I must have misinterperted the original question/comment. Yes, the instructions I posted are for notification of an additional comment being posted on a thread that the user posted on. I don't see where the choice is offered in regards to a member/profile page message.
