Recently we've had new theBubbler members sign up with Yahoo email accounts and not receive the confirmation email needed to finish registration.
This may be happening if your Yahoo "Bulk Mail" folder is set to immediately delete emails that go into it. Often legitimate emails are falsely tagged as spam and dumped into Bulk Mail. If Bulk Mail deletes them on the spot, you will never know what Yahoo is tagging as spam!
To avoid this, set your Bulk Mail folder to hold messages for review.
1. Log into Yahoo email and go to
Options > Mail Options
2. Click the
Spam Protection link
3. Under the
Spam Filter settings it will say that SpamGuard is ON. Select the button below that says
Save these messages in the Bulk Folder for and set the drop-down to one or two weeks.
4. Click
Save Changes
Now you will see a folder called "Bulk" in your list of folders. It will be bold when messages are in it. Check this folder every day or two to see what messages are being held. The folder will be cleared every one or two weeks based on the settings you applied.
If you still aren't receiving the confirmation or don't use Yaoo, see the
