I quit drinking Coke at work. I used to drink it all day - one in the morning, one (usually big) at lunch plus the free refill, and one in then afternoon. Now I drink coffee at work for my caffeine.
I also try to limit portions. As a realist, I KNOW I can't change what I eat. I really like good food. But just because the restaurant brings a giant portion doesn't mean I have to eat it all.
By the way, when I was in my 20's, I actually worked out a LOT and drank protein drinks to try and GAIN weight. Funny, huh?
Good to stop with so much soda...leaves more room for BEER!

There you go! I save room for beer. I'm sure I'd be losing weight twice as fast if I didn't drink beer or mix drinks or eat french fries and pizza. That's not being realistic to me. I have to include foods I like and any diet that tells you not to include those is going to fail. It's all about portion control and balancing out what you eat the rest of the day/week. If you have to throw in an extra exercise session just so you can eat your pizza, then so be it. It's worth it to me.
Since the name of this topic is "Overweight is Risky Business," here's a picture of a fat Tom Cruise to go with it. I couldn't find any fat Risky Business boxer shorts pictures.
