My mom gets her high blood pressure meds through some pharmaceutical company like that at her pharmacy. She only has to pay a copay of $5 a month that way. I don't think she could afford to buy her them otherwise since she is on a fixed income.
I don't see how some of the elderly can afford to pay for the prescriptions they have to take. My aunt in Oklahoma pays over $900 a month for the ones she has to have! Her husband is still working (he's 77) but his insurance doesn't pay for medications so they have to pay for it themselves.
