Another Peanut Butter scare

Another recall on several different peanut butter products that started with bulk peanut butter and now includes several other products as well. The list of products includes, Austin and Keebler branded Peanut Butter Sandwich Crackers, as well as some snack-size packs of Famous Amos Peanut Butter Cookies and Keebler Soft Batch Homestyle Peanut Butter Cookies.

I love keebler soft batch & we have little bags of famous amos cookies free by the free hot drink machine at work. I usually grab a bag of the peanut butter or choco chip, when i get my hot chocolate in the mornings... Thanks for the heads up PK

The link you gave says "The nationwide outbreak has sickened hundreds of people in 43 states and killed at least six."

"Officials are focusing on peanut paste, as well as peanut butter, produced at a Blakely, Ga., facility owned by Peanut Corp. of America. Its peanut butter is not sold directly to consumers but distributed to institutions and food companies. But the peanut paste, made from roasted peanuts, is an ingredient in cookies, cakes and other products that people buy in the supermarket."

Had some peanut butter cookies the other day at a buffet.. I have three open jars of peanut butter right now but rarelt actually ever eat it. Just one of the staples I usually add to the grocery list.

I have to ask... why do you have 3 jars open at once?

I seldom eat it as well, but my son loves it.

I only buy Skippy since I have never heard this brand recalled before. Unlike Peter Pan that has been recalled not long ago.

I can relate to 3 jars open at the same time. lol I have creamy, super chunk, and honey roasted all open now. Depending on who I am making the sandwich for I guess.

One is crunchy.. have to be in the mood for that.

One is creamy and .. still creamy.

One was dryish when I first opened it and haven't bothered to chuck it yet.

I used to love peanut butter and jelly as a kid.. now I tend to eat it on toast, crackers, or celery.
