If you're aware of any free flu shot locations anywhere in Wisconsin, feel free to add them to this thread. I know often churches and even some pharmacies will offer them (sometimes with restrictions) every year and thought we could add them here.
Oh, I just checked here hoping to find places that gives them free. I know there are some places that offer reduced. I think our Health Dept gives them for less. It's not free but it's better than full price.
I could be wrong but I think the regular flu shot is 29.00 and then they are saying the swine flu will be in 2 shots. That can really add up if you have a family.

I've never paid for flu shots. I've always taken myself & my kids to our Dr. office & our insurance pays for it. When i called to make our appt for this year, i was told that we get 3 shots this time around, due to the swine flu shots, but still $0 out of pocket.
I didnt list this one here because i seen the ad last week, but when i asked about it at my pharmacy (Walgreens), for my daughter who has no insurance, they said that free shots are no longer available in Wisconsin (I was asking about her city 3 hrs away). Not sure if they ran out or what, but that was just Saturday that i asked about it & they said $24.95 is the cost to all now.
Actually we are on a different insurance plan this year and I think they will also cover the flu shots. I just called the Doctor's office and they said they don't even have the regular shots yet and hope to get them in a few weeks or so. They have no idea how many shots they will receive of the regular or the swine flu shots and won't put us on a list to get them. (another dr. I had made a list of patients that called for them).
Everywhere I have read said to get the flu shots early this year and not to wait into October since it takes several weeks for them to work. Also it is best to get the regular out of the way before you start the 2 shot swine flu ones. I asked the office this and it was like..we get them when we get them.
So, I called around to see the cost and they range around 28-30.00 for regular and no where has the swine flu shots yet and one place still doesn't have the regular flu shot.
So, either we wait and hope to get in at the doctors office so we don't have to pay, or wait and find out we can't get them because they ran out and then everyone else will be pretty much through their supplies too...or, pay the price and at least get the regular shots now so when the swine flu shot comes out we can get them with no worries of getting everything at once.

That sux, Our Dr wont get them in until the first week of October & we made our appts already... They make appts to assure that those who called first get theres. I'd probably buy mine at the discount price of $10 per family member & free for me from my job if i had to wait & not have it be a for sure thing.
