Almost makes you want to go out and pick some mushrooms from the woods. Those are probably safer!

I have ~ on several occassions.......when I feel ambitious..........LOL

I make home made potpies with the pillsbury pie crust. MMMMMM GOOD!

Get a pie pan, spray with Pam (or whatever you want)
put in bottom crust
and then add whatever you want.

I like to use white chicken meat, 2 cans of cream of chicken, 2 cans of cream of potato, add teeny tiny pea, cheese, minced onion, salt/pepper.
Add my top crust and bake @ 350 until the crust is brown....usually about 40 minutes.

I've also did this with left over pot roast, add gravy, veggies and bake.

You can stuff these potpies with anything and everything.

I like to:


Steam some chicken breasts in chicken broth, seasonings, tiny cubed carrots, small cubed pototoes, baby peas, small bits of celery until everything is tender. I would either make a homemade gravey with some of the water/flour etc. or when in a faster hurry I would cube the cooked chicken and put everything in a bowl and mix in a couple of cream of mushroom soup or one large can. Pour into pie crusts as mentioned in Carol's post and bake the same.

Another version, Cook your chicken mixture without the potaotes. When almost done add 1/2 bag of Southern Style Hash Brown Potaotes thawed out. That gives you potatoes as well as onions, and green peppers. I would then add mushroom soup and cream of chicken soup.

With all of this..who needs Banquet? lol
