My favorite thing to do in the summer is tubin' down the Grant River! We put in outside of Beetown and then float our way downstream. It is very peaceful and very beautiful. I would recommend this to anyone. We take our kids, the youngest went when he was 2, it's very safe and life jackets are provided. (Although I would recommend bringing your own for the young ones). L-town (Lancaster) all the way......gotta check out the Nelson Dewey statue on the square and his grave not far away. Plus the Courthouse and the US's oldest Civil War Monument. Not to mention it's the hometown of possibly UW's all-time best football player Dave Schreiner.
