The UWP Symphony Band will perform a concert on Dec. 10. The evening of musical entertainment will include a Celtic piece entitled "Kirkpatrick Fanfare," the theme from "Catch me if you can" by composer John Williams and the traditional "Chorale" and "Hallelujah."
The concert will be held in the Richard and Helen Brodbeck Concert Hall in the Center for the Arts on the UWP campus.

UWP will host the Focus on Sustainability group as they give a presentation on sustainability and comprehensive planning
The presentation is part of their Building Communities Webinar Educational series in the Pioneer Student Center computer conference room on the UWP campus
The webinar will focus on infusing sustainability concepts into a comprehensive plan
It will teach attendees how to create goals, objectives and policies that reflect sustainability

It is designed to teach individuals how to confront hate and biased language and actions
The presentation also aims to provide information about what a hate crime is, the unique impact of a hate crime both to victims and to the campus and community and how to respond to this impact
The training will be held in the Platteville East room of the Pioneer Student Center on the UWP campus

Parents may drop off their children at Williams Fieldhouse and their children will be entertained throughout the evening with a variety of activities including swimming, movies, arts and crafts, dodgeball, basketball, soccer and hide-n-seek

As part of the 100th anniversary celebration of the UWP Industrial Studies program, the Building Construction Management dept will present guest speaker Jerry Marty, a UWP alumnus who graduated in 1969
He works for the National Science Foundation in the Office of Polar Programs — Division of Antarctic Infrastructure and Logistics as the facilities construction and maintenance manager
Marty's presentation will be in the University Rooms of the Pioneer Student Center

Offering a variety of classes
One is the Beginning I Chinese Language for learners without any Chinese language background
It consists of 12 lessons, each 1 hr 30 min
When completed, students will be able to grasp the four tones in Mandarin Chinese, understand the pinyin system, carry on simple conversations in Chinese and have a good foundation for further Chinese language learning
The first: Mon and Wed, Jan 26-March 4, 6-8:30pm
The second: Tues and Thurs, Jan 27-March 5, 5:30-7 pm
