Thumbs up Best Genealogy Magazines

I subscribe to Family Tree Magazine and also swear by Everton's Genealogical Helper as an invaluable resource for the serious researcher.

Family Tree Magazine: Amazon.com: Magazines Family Tree Magazine: Amazon.com: Magazines

Evertons Genealogical Helper: Amazon.com: Magazines Evertons Genealogical Helper: Amazon.com: Magazines

Here are a few others (in no particular order) you might also consider:

Ancestry Magazine

Heritage Quest

Do you know of or can you suggest any others?

Re: Best Genealogy Magazines

Great post for Wisconsin Genealogy, Dave.

Can't suggest more magazines, but for Wisconsin I do suggest our genealogy forums here and at Waukesha and Milwaukee Wisconsin Genealogy and History Information Links To The Past Waukesha and Milwaukee County Wisconsin Genealogy for Wisconsin Genealogy.

Re: Best Genealogy Magazines

Unfortunately, Everton's is no longer available (to the best of my knowledge)..

If you're looking to save some money on subscriptions, you might try MAGHOUND - A magazine membership service featuring hundreds of magazines from major publishers as well.. you can bulk subscribe to magazines for about $1 a title a month..

Re: Best Genealogy Magazines

I get the "Wisconsin Magazine of History" free with my membership to the Wisconsin Historical Society (formerly the State Historical Society). It has some very interesting articles in it about the state's history plus it some times gives ideas on how to do family history research. There was a great article a few years back from a person who researched the history of his house and the people who previously lived there. It was very helpful when I decided to do the search on my house and the former owners. I had always wanted to find out but had no idea how to go about it until I read his article.
