Irish Genealogical Research in Wisconsin

The upcoming St. Patrick's day brings to mind Irish roots and heritage for many Wisconsinites.

For those who have an interest in family history I'd like to call your attention to the Irish Genealogical Socirty of Wisconsin:

Included on the site are links (and information) to some other great Wisconsin genealogical resources, such as the Irish Emmigration Library.

The Irish Emigration Library is housed in the historic Irish Cultural and Heritage Center (ICHC) near downtown Milwaukee.

The ICHC is home to several Irish cultural organizations and hosts a variety of musical social events, dance performances, theatrical productions, public lectures and classes. The Irish Emigration Library at the ICHC is sponsored and operated by the Irish Genealogical Society of Wisconsin (IGSW).

Any Irish blood coursing thru your veins?

I am part Irish, Welsh, English, and Scottish on my dad's side.. not sure on my mother's. Mom's maiden name was Osborne but I know there was supposed to be some Polish and French as well.

Yes, I do. Two of my great grandfather's immigrated from Ireland. One went to Australia for awhile before coming here so my grandfather was born there. The last names were McCoy and Foote. As far as nationalities, I have a bit of every one in me except for Chinese and Japanese...as far as I know anyhow.
