Google Books-A great source for Genealogy
Several months ago the Wisconsin Historical Society made an agreement with Google. This library as well as many other Libraries are sending books to Google. Google is in turn digitizing the books. Many of the books are now showing up in full text at Google Books.
There is a huge variety of books available. Many of them are genealogies written in the 1800s and early 1900s. There are also interesting history books that describe the communities and towns that your ancestors may have lived.
If you aren't using this as a source...you should. After all, its free!

Remember man, as you walk by,
As you are now, so once was I.
As I am now, so shall you be.
Remember this and follow me.
...someone replied by writing:
To follow you I'll not consent until I know which way you went.
